John Dean: Last Monday a car in a carpark at Marion Shopping Centre went out of control and instantly killed a man walking with his loved one on a footpath. That man was George one of my dearest and closest friends. Every fortnight with 6 others for the last 30 years we have played cards.Every couple of months we dine out with our partners before more cards.He was a great Italian cook. The fact that he'll no longer be at our tables is still inconceivable.

John Dean; I remember as a young cricketer training during the week full of anticipation for the Saturday game only for it to rain all day.Your heart sinks,you're annoyed at the heavens and you swipe angrily at the backyard weeds with your bat and try keep your faith that next week it'll be ok. Heaven knows what's going through the mind of Crow's player Tex Walker? He has to miss every Saturday.

John Dean: Saw a great production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang yesterday and thoroughly recommend it to all the family.Hard to believe the guy that gave us James Bond created this magical mayhem. A guy sitting in front of us wearing his jeans around his thighs bent over to pick something up off the floor.Talk about mooning with your undies,this was not a pretty sight!!! And they call this fashion??

Hi, Craig Huggins here. Huggy here. Lucky enough to go to the Bryan Adams concert in Melbourne tonight, and can't wait until he plays the Entertainment Centre this Wednesday night! What a fantastic show. 2.15 hours of pure brilliance. Knew every song. What a superstar. He even pulls from the crowd to sing "When You're Gone" so learn the words in case it's you!
