DJ Andy Smith - DJ Andy Smith is best known for releasing the first ever major label multi genre mix CD, The Document (FFRR/London records) and for supplying samples and warming up for Bristol based band Portishead during the 90’s. He has gone on to release many more DJ mix CD’s on various labels including Trojan & Greensleeves and holds down weekly DJ residencies in London as well as touring the globe in his own right. Don Letts is a British film director and musician. He is credited as the man who through his DJing at clubs such as The Roxy brought together punk and reggae music. After seeing one of Bob Marley's gigs at the Odeon in Hammersmith (June 1976) he was able to sneak into the hotel and spent the night talking to and befriending Marley. He is pictured on the cover of the Clash EP ‘Black Market Clash’ and the compilation ‘Super Black Market Clash’. His film ‘Westway to the World’ about The Clash won a Grammy Award in 2003. Don currently hosts a weekly Sunday night radio show, Culture Clash’ on BBC6 music Keith Lawrence is a leading authority on all things Reggae having released The ‘Jamiacan Funk Experience’ CD on Nascante (with DJ Andy Smith) & holding down the weekly Wednesday night reggae show on Mi Soul Radio (www.mi-soul.com)the Bussey building/CLF Art Cafe Collection of Archive + Up and coming Events.
