The concert will take place in the heart of the city's Peel Street (or "Boulevarde of Dreams") and is scheduled to be their only dedicated Tamworth show. It will be somewhat of a return to years prior as Kasey performed a giant free concert for a number of years on the main Friday night of the Festival in the city's Bicentennial Park. "We want to thank all our fans for their ongoing support, not only for (supporting the album) Wreck & Ruin, but for all our music over so many years. We can't think of a better way to say 'Thanks' than to perform a very special 'live & free' concert with the Wreck & Ruin Band, right where so many of Australia's favourite country music stars got their first break – downtown Peel Street in Tamworth at the annual Country Music Festival. "We'll be playing all the old favourites, as well as some of the new stuff. We can't wait to get there and see you all," the couple said. Kasey and Shane received five finalist nominations for Wreck & Ruin at upcoming Golden Guitar Awards including Album of the Year. Wreck & Ruin was released in September and debuted on the national ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) charts at six and on the National Country Music album charts at number one and continues to chart strongly some four months later. The free concert will take place at 8pm on Wednesday January 23.
