Spotlight: Paul McCartney (2013) Back in the USSR! Music as protest in Russia is alive and generating heat and support from Beatle Paul! McCartney has written a second letter to Russian officials, calling for justice in the case of imprisoned artist-activists Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova. Ms Alyokhina declared a hunger strike after being denied the right to attend her own parole hearing. Both Alyokhina and Tolokonnikova are members of the band, "Pussy Riot," in jail (10 months) for singing anti-Putin songs in a church! McCartney's message is that the whole world is watching this human rights violation unfold and he has many friends in Russia. The letters are hand-written and signed by Beatle Paul. Details:
