Spotlight: John Lennon (1980) "Dr. Winston O'Boogie" risked his life sailing to Bermuda in the summer before writing new songs. Yoko Ono collaborated on John's seventh studio album, "Double Fantasy," which was a dialogue of alternating songs between the two. Lead guitarists Earl Slick and Hugh McCracken were guided by producer Jack Douglas. Although the sessions were self-financed, LennOno signed with Geffen Records after a bidding war. Initial reviews tended to be harsh, but days after Lennon's death, the first two singles and the album charted #1 in the US.
