WFMT will host two volunteer training sessions prior to the Spring Membership drive:
• Wednesday, February 29 at 2pm
• Thursday, March 1 at 6pm
Each training session will include information on how the pledge drive works, the role of a volunteer, and instructions on how to take a pledge. The session will end with a WFMT tour and you’ll even be able to meet members of our leadership team and on-air staff. If you have already volunteered with us, we welcome your participation as these training sessions are useful for experienced volunteers as well as newcomers. A native South Sider who made Los Angeles his home and base for the last 25 years or so, died of esophageal cancer yesterday at 67. His "The Chicago Language Tape" was a WFMT classic, but was just the tip of the iceberg of El Fiendo's creations, chiefly in radio drama.
