Cooky - SURGICAL FILMS Patients undergoing some types of surgery are being asked if they would prefer to stay awake and watch films rather than have a general anaesthetic. The film chosen most by those having a local anaesthetic during operations at Peterborough City Hospital is Dirty Dancing So, my question for today is... Can we come up with a list of films that might be good for watching while having surgery? Use your punning skills if you like, to stretch the titles of famous movies to make them fit, but anything with a surgical or hospital twist will do Films to have surgery to, please ;-)

I went to a pub over the weekend and enjoyed a crusty baguette with crumbly Lancashire cheese topped with a layer of salt and vinegar crisps and then covered in lashings of brown sauce - yum! Cooky - FILM PROPS I was wondering the other day what prop from a film I would like to own if I could own just one Here’s a few suggestions… • I reckon the Star Wars Light-Sabre would be number one – Hedge trimming would be so much easier with one of those • Possibly the ring from Lord of the rings – Imagine what you’d get in cash if you pawned it • Then possibly The Wardrobe, from “The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe” – Talk about spacious and interesting? • Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine X-Men Claws – You’d never have to buy another collection of knives again • An electric guitar from “Spinal Tap”, along with the amp that goes to a volume level off 11, rather than 10 – Imagine how much more you could annoy the neighbours • Doctor Octopus’s extra arms from “Spiderman 2” – Imagine how much quicker you’d get the housework done • Megan Fox from “Transformers” – OK, she’s not a prop, but I want her anyway • Mary Poppins’ bag – It was basically a “bag” version of The Tardis – You’d never have to pay excess baggage at an airport again • Any Batmobile, but especially the Christian Bale one which can be driven across the tops of buildings – No parking fines there • The teleportation chamber from the film “The Fly” – assuming it works – Imagine what you’d save through not buying a season ticket Over to you then ;-) What one prop from a movie would you like to own?
