FROM BAY HQ: As most of you will know, The Bay went off air earlier this week after thieves stole cables that link our transmitter site on the A595 between Dalton and Askam. Not only did this affect the station, it left hundreds of residents in the local area without internet and phone lines. In addition, we were unable to help promote local charity events that were held on the days we were off air. Given that the theft not only affected The Bay but affected the whole Bay community too, we want your help in bringing the offenders to justice. Did you see anything suspicious late evening on 10th June in the area? If you can help, please call Cumbria Police on 101 or PC Trevor Jones on 01229 848808.
